CHURCH NEWS JAN 29- FEB 4
KW SHOWDOWN SUNDAY UPDATE WEDNESDAYS AT COAN

Sunday January 29- Church of All Nations Senior Pastor Mark D. Boykin shared a message of insight and warning Sunday entitled, “Who’s Seated at Your Table.”

As a sidebar to Communion Sunday, Pastor Boykin highlighted the importance of protecting your life and the lives of your family members from people and situations that could negatively influence your walk with God.

Taking the bulk of his text from the Gospel of Luke, Pastor Boykin brought three points or parallels to the forefront examining each one in the light and discernment of the Holy Spirit.

Rev. Boykin kept the focus of the covenant commitment of communion in the forefront sharing an Old Testament illustration of how covenant relationships are viewed in the eyes of God.

In addition, Pastor Boykin warned of the dangers of whom you commune with and what you bring into your homes, whether by persons or through the airwaves.

Prior to taking the communion elements Pastor Boykin reiterated that not all your friends are that, explaining why we must have Gods discernment, especially in this area.

Showdown Sunday– The highly anticipated Kids WOW Showdown Sunday was all that and then some as 170 children packed into Faith Chapel for church service and some serious fun.

The original goal of 150 kids was eclipsed as another120 people viewed the service online. There were so many exciting things going on inside Faith Chapel it was amazing. Trinity from Kids WOW won the brand new iPod for bringing 16 guests to Showdown Sunday.

In addition, special guest Det. Julie Bowers, from the hit TV series, Police Women of Broward County, shared safety tips with the children while participating in a paneled discussion.

And oh by the way she was a good sport too, getting slimed in the closing moments of the 11AM service. And PVic, always a man of his word, took some hard hits also, withstanding 10 pies to the face at close range.

It was a messy, noisy Sunday as Kids WOW rolls on. In closing, Sundays message was about salvation with Pastor Victor sharing the love of Jesus and calling forward those wishing to accept Him. Over 30 boys and girls total came forward as their names were taken to follow up and begin to disciple our greatest treasures, the children! GALLERY
